Re: Mojave Road Guide

I received the Mojave Road Guide book this past week and read it through over the weekend. Great book!

Now I need to do this trip. I think I will wait until the end of September or beginning of October and invite anyone who wants to to come along with me. This would be a great Meet and Greet road trip. I would want to do the trip on a Friday and Saturday. We could stay at the Avi Casino on the Colorado River on Thursday night, leave early Friday morning from the East end of the Mojave Road, take our time exploring along the trail, camp somewhere Friday night, and then complete the rest of the road on Saturday, finishing on the West end of the Mojave Road near Barstow. Those who want to could then double back and camp Saturday somewhere else in the Mojave Preserve or could explore some nice canyons around the Barstow area.

Anybody interested?

Re: Mojave Road Guide

Mac ,
Another great reference for you or any one planning this or many other off road adventures can be found at
http://www.dirtopia.com . I would love to join you but am healing from a major surgery that prevents any extended periods of driving or lifting .

I'd be intereseted. I've done this trip twice and I see something new every time. East of Mojave people drive west, and west of Mojave people drive east, meet in the middle somewhere?
