Re: Mono Lake Vacinity

Felt the elements last night up on 108. Very heavy rain. Decided not to go up toward Leavitt Lake due to time restraints but because it was snowing up there, I do wish I had made it up the hill earlier cuz I wouldda ben thar. Friggin work.

This spot is close to Eagle Meadows and is my favorite spot to set up scopes to view or image. It was a bit overcast last night but the rain helped with the Rim fire and I wish it was still raining.

This spot is out on a cliff edge...no trail just light rock climbing to get there that any SMB could do.

Hunters all over the place. There was a group right over the hill not 100 yards away. They were the nice quiet guys who crashed early. I'll bet they hated me...I scared all the deer away

If you become a full member of this forum, you have access to a special "members only" sub-forum. I posted a Google Earth KMZ file up there with coordinates to hundreds of hot springs in the western USA. There is other cool information in that sub-forum as well.
