Muley Point or Gooseneck State Park ???

I will soon be rafting the San Juan River in southern Utah and am looking for a primitive campsite to stay in after we take-out at Clay Hills. I've seen high praise for both Muley Point and Goosenecks State Park. Does anyone who has visited both rate one higher than the other?

I know Goosenecks SP has a fee but it otherwise looks to be fairly primitive.

Or perhaps head over to Valley of the Gods.

Goosenecks is a great overlook, but having recently spent a night there, I'd say not necessarily a great place for camping - especially on account of the fee and lack of any service (there's a pit toilet). Valley of the Gods has free camping, really cool options for campsites, and is an awesome place to be for sunrise!

There's dispersed camping near Muley Point that is great! Plenty of 2 track that takes off of the road out to Muley. 5 star views

VOtG is a nice place, but the views from Muley Pt are worth it. I camped there last summer and was treated to a fantastic atmospheric sunset.

Don 't just the dirt road going into Muley unless it's been very dry. DAMHIK

Duly noted, or should that be, Muley noted. Thanks. Plan B is VotG, or if we get off the river much earlier than expected, then drive a few more hours to Navajo National Monument which has two free campgrounds.

I agree Goosenecks is a perfectly nice place to stop if you're running out of light and just need a place to sleep for the night. It's an unique, impressive overlook but I don't think I'd aim for it as a place to camp. My wife and I came down from the north last fall and there were so many places to boondock to the north of it after you climb an amazing switchback road.
