Re: NorCal Sierra 4x4 Meet (LEAVITT TRAIL WILL BE OPEN)

I don't think there will be any one camp Craig. On page 2 of this thread is a map showing the site I plan to grab (see the square) if it's open. Dunbar is planning on attending so he'll grab a different site until more members arrive and I'll bring a small tent to grab another site. If we can grab all the sites on that loop it should be enough space. Just remember to add some extra space between yourself and my log sawing Hopefully by the time some of us get there by Friday morning there will be enough sites open close to each other but still allow some space between members. As cold as it might be I plan to run my heater if need be I'm guessing temps in the lower 30's by morning.

Not sure. Leaving Canyonlands tomorrow headed west. We may be too far ahead of you guys to wait. We're chomping at the bit to get to the PNW but had an awesome day on the White Rim today. Sitting at Cowboy CG (just outside Canyonlands) sipping a beer now, wishing the wind would calm down so we could bathe and cook.

Anybody coming in by Wednesday?

I am planning to be there in the early afternoon...or that's the plan. Don't think I can get up there tomorrow.

Best case scenario puts me there 10pm Friday night.

So realistically, probably 1am Saturday morning.

Leave the light on! Oh wait, never mind, bringing my own.

Re: NorCal Sierra 4x4 Meet (LEAVITT TRAIL WILL BE OPEN)

Our plan is to be rolling tomorrow early afternoon with likely stop at Baker CG for the night, then on to Leavitt Thurs morning. Hopefully the road in to Leavitt is reasonably easy for us clearance wise.

In case anyone has not checked weather, it is low 50's during the days and high 30's to low 40's at night. Thurs to Sun it is supposed to touch 60. Search "Leavitt Lake Snotel" for hourly temp reports from the reporting site at the lake.

Looking forward to this!!

Re: NorCal Sierra 4x4 Meet (LEAVITT TRAIL WILL BE OPEN)

Loaded up, almost ready and one of the front wheel bearings is screeching and it was just checked out Hopefully I can get-er-done by tomorrow. Doubt I'll get that way till Thursday now. Had to leave the van at my buddies place several miles away from home. His wifey wasn't too happy having to haul my lard ass home 40 miles away either. It's a lovely day!
