Northwest Overland Rally

Was cruising around over at Expedition Portal and came across the North West Overland Rally thread, http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/t ... lly-Thread. Thought some of you might be interested.

Have been thinking upgrading a 4wd rig, either SMB or something else, and thought this might be a good place to go to get a look at a lot of different rigs. The dates are June 26-29th, 2014 in Plain Washington, north of Wenatchee. http://www.nwoverlandrally.com/home.html

Re: Northwest Overland Rally

Got my route mapped out. Leaving Tuesday and heading up I5 and then cutting east on US12. Dug out my waterfall book and mapped out about 25 falls that I hope to get to between Tuesday and Thursday AM. May not make it to all of them but it seemed like a good goal. Plan to camp around Rimrock Lake Tuesday night and then west of Leavenworth in the Wenatchee National Forrest on Wednesday. Looking forward to a fun trip and meeting some of the forum member there. Are we parking in a group?

Re: Northwest Overland Rally

Larrie,

If you have time to poke around I have found some good bondock camping up the S Fork Tieton Rd. No 4wd needed.

No one has mentioned camping together but if we beat you there feel free set up next to us.

Cheers
John

Re: Northwest Overland Rally

John,

Hope to have two days to poke around the area before arriving at the rally. Thanks for the information on the boon docking location. Will be on that road headed to South Fork Falls.

Was thinking that it would be good to have a Sportsmobile compound. Camping together sounds like a good idea. Am hoping to be there between 12 and 1:00.

Well that's rude. Right in the middle of the World Cup.

Re: Northwest Overland Rally

Larrie,

We probably won't be there until mid-afternoon. We will look for you when we arrive so pick a nice spot.
