Tough call. The Kelly Canyon motorized trails are pretty much across the street. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/coco...a/?recid=81567

I will be attending in our dark grey 2007 SMB from WA. I intend to arrive on Thursday and stay through to Sunday. No messing around on they way down.. but hope to have a few extra days to explore after OX over. Probably wishful thinking for the time of year but there are a number of passes out of Ouray, CO that I really want to traverse while I am this close.

Cheers,

Cheers,

This might get a problem. At least right now they get additional snow. Even down in Durango.

Snowing big time up in the San Juans now and this whole season. The high passes will not be ready by then is my guess. The one exception MIGHT be Ophir Pass as it is the first pass to get bulldozed open for the season.

Doing the mongollon rim the week before if anyone is in the area. Leaving LA on the 5th and plan to start west to east and just explore the area. Pm if interested.
