Re: PNW Meet and Greet in June

Thanks for the Information. Looks like we have it worked out with the exception of the 17th. We will be staying on Whidbey Island 18,19,and 20. The 21st, heading up to Whistler and vacinity.

Although I like to flying by the seat of my pants, my navigator is happy with the semi set of plan(s).

Tell me this though, If we are on Whidbey how long (far) is it to the M&G? just checking my map skills. Actually just adding navigator confidence

I'll use the info you guys gave to find a place for the 17th and 21st on up around Whistler. I'll let you know where when decided.

Thanks Bunches

:
Times depend greatly on the traffic. Assuming the traffic gods are friendly, from Mukilteo (which is where the Whidbey Island ferry drops off) I'd guess the quickest you will make it is 45 minutes.

You should be ok getting on the ferry since the lines are usually long getting to the island on Saturday and long again coming from the island on Sunday.

I'd recommend taking the highways. Take 525 to 405South to 90 East. It is just a short way off 90.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Re: PNW Meet and Greet in June

CJ,

I'll show up at 2pm and start my grill around 4pm, I'll probably be one of the earlier ones to leave given that I have kids.

All,

I just updated the first message of this thread with the details.
See you on the 19th.

Sounds good. WE will be there between 2-4 ish. I too have young kids so we will be leaving earlier rather than later. See everyone there.

Is the BBQ every van for himself? What can I bring?

Re: PNW Meet and Greet in June

CJ,

The Barbecue is a fend for yourself.

I think it would be too much effort to coordinate a pot luck although it might be a good idea for an actual camp out/over nighter.

Safe travels; see you there.

Add me to the list, as I am planning to also be there around 2PM in the Green Machine.

Re: PNW Meet and Greet in June

We'll definitely be there. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not sure who "we" is yet as there are sleepovers and birthday partys that same weekend, but at least some of my family will be there.

[EDIT] I just passed on a invitation to another Sportsmobiler I've met in the area who isn't on the forum. Maybe we can bring him into the fold.
