147.585 is a good simplex frequency that does not overlap with any repeaters in the region.

Steve thanks for setting this up. Epic trip with stellar memories and new friendships.

Teaser......Vans, Sun, wind, rain, low visibility mud wheeling, campfires, live music, spiritual moments and awesome people.... including a friendly Park Ranger and even a nice random woman in a Subaru who joined us at camp.....all that and I had to leave a day early!

Looking forward to hearing what else transpired.

Very good outing with great new friends. Thanks Steve!

As Eric said, who would have expected to be steering straight but sliding sideways at 10mph in the fog and rain in Death Valley.

Diesel had a fun time making new two and four legged friends and was reluctant to get out of the van after we arrived home.

Looking forward to next time.

Great Trip Definitely a "Two Thumbs Up for Steve"

Thanks Steve for organizing a great weekend trip! Meeting lots of new friends and learning about 4wd Sportsmobile driving in all types of road conditions that we encountered on this weekend trip. Will post more photos later or a link to my images.
Thanks everyone for a great weekend adventure.

Sounds like you all had a great trip. Dana and I wanted to make it but we just could not pull it off. We will be watching for further postings!

Wow! I feel every bit as happy as I look in this photo about how this trip turned out. This was an incredible experience and can't wait for more. It will take a bit of time to write up a full trip report, but I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this my best Sportsmobile trip ever.
