For anyone interested in taking in some of the festivitys prior to the race, the link below is a schedule of events. In the days leading up to the race, there are plenty of things to see and do to get you into race mode. Our friend Glen from Agile is racing, and will be driving the first section of the race from the start to race mile 240, which is quite close to San Felipe. He will be getting out of the Bronco there, and then catching a ride down to the last section where he will get back in to finish the race. The first driver change will take place at the BFG pit, and I think it will be fun to be there to watch. John has not nailed down the exact location for the memorial yet, (after the race) but stay tuned for GPS coordinates, once we get things firmed up a bit.

Plans are evolving, people are gathering closer and closer to the border, and some folks are already in Mexico. As of this morning, several folks are gathering at Agile in the next day or two (if you show up at Agile, try not to park directly in front of the shop doors, they are really busy), Others are crossing the border directly, and I’m crossing on the 12th.The race watching is a bit fragmented, with some folks taking in contingency first, some heading South of San Felepe to hang out and watch the race from there, and others are planning to catch the first part of the race at the BFG pits to watch Glen change drivers and fuel the car. From there we will probably head a bit south to find another spot to watch from. After the race folks will begin to gather in San Filipe, working towards the most likely memorial spot on the beach at El Pescadore where we will camp. Target date for the actual memorial is Sat.So, multiple opportunities to cross the border with more experienced folks, or go it yourself.Just let us know if you need to connect.

Very cool. That's the race Bronco that Ramsey had, right? We chatted about it a few times. Good to see its getting used like its supposed to.

I'm pretty sure Glen built it, perhaps for Ramsey?

"Tomorrow I leave for Baja, this trip will be special, I’m placing this memorial on the Bluffs south of San Felipe, many of us have fond memories of traveling in Baja with Ramsey, the Bluffs are the best.
Enjoy life, family, and friends, be safe" .....

For anyone coming who is not yet here: We are all staying and conducting the ceremony on the Bluff. Nine vans and four trucks here now. Weather is perfect, nice during the day and cool at night. Sunrises are spectacular. Special place for a special moment for a very special man.

I just got a text from 1der...he asked me to post this....

The Memorial is at the Bluff.

Bluff GPS Coordinates are N30.92092 W114.7521

Turn off is due west of the above. Google Earth should show the track which goes south then 180deg north.

4WD is mandatory and air down to at least 30psi.
