Re: Recommended campsites along the Cali coastal highway?

Chowder in sour dough bread bowl at Boudins by Pier 39 in SF is pretty solid too

And stop by the House of Bread, in SLO, good breakfast and breads. Oh, and Top Dog coffee in Morro Bay is awesome too.

More like 5 hours not including stops if you take Hwy 1, which is what the OP said he was planning to do.

Port San Luis exit Avila beach road on 101 just before Pismo. Camp right above fisherman beach on the low bluff. Nice pier and resturants. Kid and wife will love it. Hotsprings on the Avila beach road near 101

Re: Recommended campsites along the Cali coastal highway?

We just went camping in Big Sur last weekend and it took just over 2 hours to get there from San Luis Obispo. Just thought I'd give you a real world time frame.
