September Road Trip CO to Canada

A few weeks late in posting but here are a few pics from our 4000 miles 3 week road trip from Fruita Colorado to the Jasper, Canada (our furthest northern point).

We had a great time!! The scenery was incredible, especially the Icefields Hwy. between Lake Louise and Jasper. Stunning rivers, glaciers and mountains.
We also made it a point to stop by any brewery that any town had. We drank a lot of good beer!!

The SMB performed flawlessly once again. Many, many miles of dirt roads were traveled along the way.

Just outside of Dinosaur NM.

Cougar Creek just outside of Yellowstone NP

Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

"posh" camping. We were laughing at ourselves. Eating steaks, sweet potatoes, asparagus washed down with tasty beer from Bozeman (406 Brewing). This was after our Campground Crossfit workout and obligatory shower.

Holland Lake, MT

Glacier NP

View east into the Main Salmon River drainage from the Seven Devil Mountains, ID
That is not a cloud layer. It's smoke from the numerous nearby fires.

Safe travels!

Great pics and report, thanks.

I like the "remote" theme evident in most of your campsite selections.

I agree, I'm PMing Saline next time I'm headed camping and see what he suggests.

Re: September Road Trip CO to Canada

We would definitely like to go back again. A word of advice though. Stock up on food, fuel and booze before you cross the border. It's expensive in Canada.

Oh, and don't take a handgun.
