Sequoia National Park

My wife and I are thinking about going to Sequoia national park / monument / et al.. I'm probably going to pick up the newest delorme atlas and gazetteer as well. Anyone know of good places to go off the beaten path for camping / sightseeing / etc...

Although we haven't taken any of them, the Massey/Wilson Backcountry Adventures book for Southern California includes several trails in that area...

I am actually going to Sequoia this weekend for 4 days. Never been there before so I just bought the Backcountry Adventures book and am thinking of checking out the Buck Rock Fire Lookout Trail, Buck Road and if time permits Whitaker Research Forest Trail and Cherry Flat Trail. Anyone ever been to these?

Anyone have any other suggestions?I would like to stay south of the 180. Any must see trails?

Joe if you are going to be up there this weekend PM me and I will give you my cell number if you want to meet up.
