Sequoia NP

Just a few of my photos from my recent trip to Sequoia National Park. Beautiful snowy conditions and plenty of quiet. Those majestic trees make my rig look like a toy!

Re: Sequoia NP

Great pictures, as usual.

One nice thing about Sequioa is the free camping when snow is on the ground.

Re: Sequoia NP

The campgrounds are rarely plowed in winter. I parked in the lot at the store one night and in the rear lot of the lodge the other. Third night was at Kings Canyon where there was less snow. Campgrounds were open, I paid for that night and I was the only vehicle I saw there.

Re: Sequoia NP

It was something a ranger mentioned to us.

And they still heat the bathroom to prevent frozen pipes.

When we've camped in the snow, Kings Canyon was snowed shut, road not plowed.

The Sequoia campground had several campsites plowed.

A snow berm can reflect campfire heat back at you. Not enough to keep me warm it seemed.

Re: Sequoia NP

Great pictures! I really like the second photo with the SMB dwarfed by the trees. The contrast of the snow and the red bark is beautiful in all of them.
