Re: So Cal SMB winter meet up 2012
Just made it back home a few hours ago after spending an extra night camping there. Have some pics, but there wasn't a round-up-the-rigs photo taken if that's what you're looking for. I took some pics that I'll try to get posted sometime in the next week or so.
We had some great campfire discussions and a lot of fun there (once we all found the camp site).

Re: So Cal SMB winter meet up 2012
Jan and I really enjoyed meeting all of you that attended, and had a wonderful time. The little excursion a few of us took on Sunday was something the whole group should do next time.
There will be a next time, won't there?

Ramsey,
If you're talking about another get together at Fish Creek, sure. We just have to watch out for that Ranger with a chip on his shoulder. If we meet somewhere else, that's cool too. I just need to track down an awning like Dave and Pam had...
BTW, early Saturday morning I built two fair sized cairns, using the river stones out of Fish Creek. I did not see them Sunday afternoon, and I then actually stopped to look for them Monday morning and couldn't find them. I'm thinking our friend the Ranger may have removed them. He probably didn't want to encourage rebel activity by having more peoople camp outside the park.

So Cal SMB winter meet up 2012
10 out of 10 rigs, including the event organizer, ocsmb aka me, missed this part of the directions:
"...about 1/4 mile from the turn off there is a small sign on the right side."
Doh!
