If you are in the west...I would be checking the US Govt firemap source...we are taking our annual Aug-Sept trip and were thinking a NW loop to but with all the fires, we are re-thinking it...anyway just a thought...

I was planning on going but now wonder if I'd just be one of the masses. A premium spot in the Jackson Hole area just seems like a waste of time to try for unless you have a private spot not open to the public. Too bad someone close to the Teton's doesn't set up a SMB meet. But I also have another agenda to contend with a week later. Maybe a closer spot from California??? I've been planning this for several years.

The only plan we have firmed up is that we are taking off the Friday before and we are going. I will take the week of the 21st off and we will see where we went when the week is done. Sometimes having no plan is the best plan and right now our plan is to see where the road takes us.
