Stuck in Sidney Nebraska

2nd time in 2 weeks I've been stuck here.
I-80 is shut down all the way across Wyoming. Even the back roads are closed.
I can only shop at cabelas so much. Never thought I would say that.
Ron

Re: Stuck in Sidney Nebraska

My wife is from Nebraska, so a few years ago we road tripped and did pretty much everything there is to do in Nebraska (at least from a road-trip worthy point-of-view, we think). We stopped in Sidney and got a tour of Fort Sidney and the grounds around there. That was pleasant but can't really remember, or recommend, anything else there (ok, besides Cabelas).

Enjoy!

Wish I could join you Ron. In a couple of days it's gonna be 102 here and I'm not happy with that. SF is supposed to be pushing the upper 90's.

Re: Stuck in Sidney Nebraska

Oh man, I feel for you Ron, although we didn't get stuck in Nebraska, we got stuck in Rawlings, WY on our way back home after skiing in Utah, nasty conditions with trucks all over the sides of the road on 80, couldn't see a thing, got the last hotel room in Rawlings, Anong's Thai is pretty good there. When they opened the road back up in the morn we took 287 out of Laramie, conditions were no better, full white out, blowing 50, with semi's all over the place and the ones that didn't get blown off the road came out of nowhere from the opposite direction, doin 65, blind! Crazy!
Ron- if the weather doesn't cooperate for getting the roads back open soon, you're welcome here, you can shoot down 76 if it's open, be here in a little over 3 hrs. Was nice last few weeks, have rain/snow now, but lots more to do in Boulder!

Re: Stuck in Sidney Nebraska

Thank you or the invite.
I'm just going to hang out till they open the road.
I'm in the van so I'm comfy. I am pulling a 1947 dodge power wagon.
So I don't want to mess around.

Rescuing/restoring another Power Wagon? Very cool.
