Re: Sturgis SD Biker Rally

Y'all are welcome into my neck of the woods any time Mike. You're right, it will be a slight haul though. It's about 24 hours from here to Barstow. We need to all get all of our vanaholics together and have a van rally somewhere in the U.S. Of A. It'd be fun getting everyone together on one common cause. The cause would be causing van-havoc. haha Those bikes are different scoots. I sold the white one and went with my typical black color. Went with the hideous wide rear end (which stays in a constant state of hydroplaning in the rain), 5 NOS bottles and upgrades on the engine (which is already 186 mph stock), stretched it out 20 inches (so it is so light in the rear you never get a good bite until your right at red line). So basically, it is so impractical it is stupid, but hey, I've enjoyed every mid life crisis I've had and I ain't stopping now! lol

Re: Sturgis SD Biker Rally

Chopperguy,

I think you might just have some of the coolest bikes I have never (not a typo) seen. I don't really know much about motorcycles but the four you posted here are all really cool. Does the stretched rear a frame and longer wheel base make it ride smoother. I know they use them for traction in drag racing. So is it worse to ride on a trip than a hard tail?

Do you have cool cars too?

I would have thought you might have built a van like this.

Or a late model Chevy on bags dumped to the rockers.

Ride Safe...

Re: Sturgis SD Biker Rally

Thank you Jamie. No, the black busa gets no traction and is much more painful to ride. For distance I pick my hardtails any day. My automobiles are a 4x4 Dodge dually (black) and a Smart Car (black). Haha. Nothing cool but we sure have fun. ; ). Nice van though. I did think about a beach VW van but the thought didn't last long. Haha
