Summer Trip 2019

Went up to Montana this summer for our annual pilgrimage to the last best place.

Playing around with some b&w photos.

Echo Ampitheater - Abiquiu, NM

Near Pagosa, CO

Near Moab, UT

Near Ashton, ID

Spent a couple days in Bozeman with friends who teach a MSU, then on to Butte to eat at Pork Chop Johns and see the big hole (the Berkeley Pit, not to be confused with Big Hole)

Flint Creek, MT

Spent a couple days near Philipsburg fishing Flint and Rock Creeks, and then over Skalkaho Pass to Missoula

Don't eat em! Even thought they look like edible Porcinis, the flesh stains blue/violet when cut and there's red marks around the edge of the cap - Satan's Bolete!

Spent a couple days in Missoula, then up to Glasgow

to visit the inlaws and float on Fort Peck Reservoir

Got some major hail the first night, then cool rainbows!

Deer in the morning and fishing for walleye on Fort Peck Reservoir the next day

On the way home, we passed through Sturgis the day before the Rally, and went to Mt. Rushmore

Building thunderheads in Wyoming

Then home through Colorado. A great trip!

Matt

Love those pictures, especially Mt. Rushmore! Been a while since we were out that way, might have to plan a trip to Montana next year!
