I’ve had three people this week ask me when I am going to retire. Tempting...., but not quite the right time. Looking forward to the trip reports!

Registration is now open. I followed the instructions on the website and sent the required info via the email address provided on the site. The registration process seems a bit awkward so we will see if I get a return email acknowledging my registration.

By the end of the first day of registration, the rally was 50% sold out, and there were more emails to read. I'm registered, but no where near ready to go. I'm departing for Vancouver island on Wed, then I'm planning on taking in some rally racing in May https://www.olympusrally.com/ before heading to the Roaming Rally in June. This is going to be fun. Anyone thinking of doing the Roaming rally better hurry, it may already be sold out.

I have no doubt this will be a great trip. Our summer plans have quickly been filling up, while we have a window open during this time frame, I'm afraid it doesn't quite line up with our dates we plan to head up to Glacier this summer. Perhaps we'll make it next year on our way up to Alaska for the summer. Looking forward to the trip report, have fun!

Sorry, but it looks like we will have to have fun without you. Perhaps we will be able to join you in Alaska next year. By the way, I've discovered I have slow leaks in three out of four tires, I suspect cactus thorns. Perhaps bombing down that road to the beach wasn't such a good idea after all.

Bugger!! But if all you've discovered is slow leaks in 3 of your tires, you got off easy!
After Baja I needed to have my leaking front axle seals replaced, have my sway bar mount re-welded (now with added disco's), purchase 2 new rear Fox shocks, not only from one of them yanking out of the upper threaded mount, but discovered they were both leaking (mainly from them bottoming out because years ago I had new lower shock mounts welded on and pivoted up for better clearance below the rear axle, hence a very short up stroke) That issue is now being remedied with an all new FF rear end because my SF had finally run its course, bearings shot, pinion leaking. I've also been informed there's a coolant leak, I think it's coming from the water pump, needs new gasket. That should keep the old girl going for a few more years!
Yes....Alaska 2019!
We're doing Glacier and surroundings this summer in July, stopping in Missoula to visit a friend on the way if you want to meet us there. I'll start a new thread on our travel plans to see if anyone else wants to join.

REF. Sorry we won’t see you on this trip. I was looking forward to seeing you and Alex and Lake ...at 10 years old. Shucks!
