Trip around Oregon

A couple of friends from the Expo forum came to Oregon for a sightseeing tour. We took a week to go down the coast and back up through central Oregon. You can read the trip report and see the photos by visiting our travel blog.

Hope you have a good Autumn.

Nice trip! You traveled to some of my favorite spots.

Good thing for Plan B's during the fire season.

Trip around Oregon

I'll check this out. We will be flying up to Boise to pick up a new Jeep and will be driving home to SoCal through Oregon. Likely through the Columbia River Gorge to the coast and then down the coast through Oregon. Not sure about the CA part but I have to see the Lost Coast since that has been on my list for a while. This Oregon report will help me plan what to see for that section of the trip. I'm sure I'll be wishing I had the van with me but we'll be back with that some day.

It'll be just a standard 2018 Rubicon but the dealer is good as is the price. SoCal dealers don't really deal on the wranglers and the hassle isn't worth it. I got about 8% under dealer invoice with no haggling. We're just turning it into a vacation.

Thinking we'll come across from Idaho and the drive along the Columbia River into Portland. We hope to get down around Mt Hood if the weather isn't horrible. From Portland we'll head up to Astoria and then do the Coast down. We have some good stuff planned for NorCal as well.
