TRIP: October 10-12 Open to all

Hi everyone,

At the meet&greet Duneattack and I discussed setting up a trip in October in Southern California. Duneattack is Dave and Pam Jackson. For those of you who went on the Death Valley trip in January, they are the couple that pulled the trailer and Pam discussed points of interest on the CB. I am the guy with the nice white SMB .

We have been discussing a few ideas that can take place Friday through Sunday. You are all welcome to join us. You can come for the three days or just one or two if you like (or even longer).

One idea is a trip that Dave has done before and is in fact there today:
  • Lone Pine to Darwin to Cerro Gordo (visit abandon mines and a ghost town).
Another idea is something that I have been wanting to do before it gets too cold:
  • Big Bear (San Bernardino Mountains) backroad trails, dispersed camping.
We thought we would throw this out there and see if anyone is interested in joining us that weekend.

We are also open to other suggestions on where to go in Southern/Central California.

Feel free to post ideas and let me know if you are interested in coming on this informal weekend trip. All forum members are welcomed.

steve

Trip

The Mojave Road in November would be great, any later and it gets really cold, like 20 degrees. I have a comprehensive tour book for The Mojave Road and been on it three times. Its great.

Jeff, Ok, lets plan a trip in November if possible. If not November when is the next good month to go?

We could do Death Valley in December or January again.

Do you want to come on our October 10-12 trip? Anyone else?

I think we had duplicate threads here with replies. I can't figure out how to gracefully merge them so I'm going to lock this one and refer to the other.
