Last road update…

Happy to report that we are home safe and sound. Arrived Monday @ 5:30am. Drove straight through from Hyder, AK to Seattle, WA (21 hours). Driving the Fraser River Canyon at night was a bit of a challenge/risk that I would think twice before doing again but this last stretch of our trip was uneventful. Weather was perfect (which made most of the driving pretty easy).

Somewhat unexpectedly, our Sportsmobile seems to run better now than it ever did - even after traversing some pretty abusive terrain for extended periods of time. The suspension does not feel as tight/harsh now and it tracks like it is on rails. Tires still roll smooth as glass (even after missing most of the wheel weights). There are a few new squeaks and rattles that I need to address... but our SMB went everywhere it was pointed and brought us back safely with 6,000+ photos and an equal number of stories.

It may take me a few weeks to sift through everything, make some order out of it, and post a mere sample of it to this forum (in addition to going back to work Wednesday after being gone for six weeks) - but I think that you will enjoy the results.

Cheers,
---TWOLOST---

Glad you are home safe and sound. Thanks for the posts and all the great pics!

Maybe we will go in that direction next summer.
