Upcoming Epic Ski/ Winter Camping Trip

1derGirl and I are headed off for a bit of a dream ski / camping trip starting February 6th. Any suggestions on places to camp/boondock along the way are most welcome. Would love to connect with anyone along the way and if a friendly driveway is available nearby for an overnight, we would certainly appreciate it, and even just getting together for a day on the slopes and a beer We want to make the most of our Mountain Collective Ski Passes we bought for this season!! Yeah!

Itinerary (some flexibility here and there):

Drive Feb 6th to SLC
Feb 7th to 9th Ski at Snowbird/ Alta
Feb 10th drive to Aspen Snowmass
Feb 11th/ 12th Ski

Feb 13th head to Denver / Loveland
Feb 14th /15th Denver / Loveland

Feb 16th drive to Jackson Hole
Feb 17/18/19 ski Jackson Hole

Feb 19/20/21 hang with Shenrie in Teton Pass area

Feb 22/23/24 head to Sun Valley for a couple of days if snow is good.

Feb 26/27 Find our way down to Mammoth by the 28th
Feb 28/29/ March 1/2/3 Ski Mammoth

March 3 head up to Tahoe / Alpine Meadows/Squaw Valley to meet my sister for a few more days of skiing there.

Back to SF March 7 or 8 unless I can convince 1derGirl to keep going

Beastie 3 now has his Espar D4 installed and the rest of the shore power inverter system will be functional before we depart.

Hope see some of you out there!

Ray

seeing it all typed out makes me even more jealous. great itinerary ray!

we can chat about possibly hitting some other resorts between & around victor and sun valley when we meet up. theres a few others in the vicinity that are worth the effort if you have the time and motivation.

Definitely jealous! Sun Valley has great snow right now. We skied there for two weeks over the holidays and are headed back there next month.

Enjoy your trip!!

Sounds like an epic trip. Very jealous. I would check out Grand Targhee if you have time. Smaller resort and high elevation so less crowded and often has better snow than Jackson. Hard to beat Jackson but I prefer smaller resorts. Have fun.

Ray, with that kind of time you may as well swing by the house (in Tennessee).

Driveway's always open. Guests who arrive with beer even get plug in, water, and hot showers.

Oh, the skiing is great here too. We just got 2 inches of wicked powder the other day.

Sounds like one fine trip! But you should really consider making it to Taos, pretty sure they joined the mountain collective this year. Well worth the detour!

Thanks Everyone! Yep we are stoked about the trip.

re: Taos - yes, they are on the Mountain Collective. Great mountain, really wonderful. and we have vary personal attachment to it. 1derGirl's Dad passed away there skiing. First run of his trip, on a gorgeous day, on Honeysuckle, he went down with a massive H.A. Never regained consciousness, S.Ptrl worked on him for 45 mins. "Revived" with heart beat but he was already gone.

Skied right out of his boots. He loved , LOVED to ski. 67 years old.

We went up the next year to celebrate his life. The Blakes were incredibly wonderful to us. Great mountain and memories

You have me thinking
