Utah/Colorado run
Anyone have plans in Utah and/or Colorado the 2nd week of July?
We depart Phx on 5th and return 13th. No real route as yet. Just places to check off the list.

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Well, I guess you could be headed in any direction, but we just got back from that general area and our favorite area was from Durango, Co. up to about Montrose on Hwy 50. Absolutely beautiful and many cool small towns. Tons of offroad if you want it. We also enjoyed 50 from Montrose over to Pueblo if you go that far east.
If you're staying closer to Phoenix and you haven't been to the Nat'l Parks in the area, I definitely recommend Zion and Bryce, and I've always wanted to explore more around there myself, like Kodachrome Basin. Many here will tell you the North Rim of the GC is great and much less crowded, but we have yet to get there. Unfortunately it will be hot in any direction from Pheonix within a day's drive or so.
Hope I'm not too late, have a great time!

Utah/Colorado run
We hit Zion yesterday. Half way to Bryce the clouds rolled in so we camped near Hatch. Might make Moab by nightfall. Going to run across to Colorado afters.

Re: Utah/Colorado run
BTW that is a very nice trailer. I could never figure why somebody can't design one like yours with a SMB style PH top on it? You'd think it would sell! All you see are the tent styles which are fine if you need more space. But a electric PH would be sweet. Looking forward to a trip report if you have the time. Drive safe

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Loren - If your still in this part of the country this weekend, the Ride festival is going on in Telluride and should be a blast.

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Taylor is a nice area! If your passing through Montrose and have time give me a ring. I would love to see your setup. I've been thinking of pulling a trailer like yours since my family is growing and it's a little tight in the van with all three of us. - Fred

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Great trip. Back safe & sound. Van and trailer were perfect. Put 1700 miles on then both. I'm determined to write a report. Or I could start planning the next one...........

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Nice pic! I can't wait to see the rest. I enjoyed our visit. You've got me looking for an offroad camping trailer after seeing your sweet rig.

Re: Utah/Colorado run
Karla catches me looking at 'trailer porn' all the time. Quite an addiction. Lots of interesting builds and models for sale over at ExPo Forum. For a chair user, the utility boxes on side are really functional. Gotta figure out where to put the RZR.
I'm trying to map our route now, then add some pics and comments.
