Thanks for all the great suggestions;

Mount Diablo is a great place, I stade their a week several months ago when I had a job in Black Hawk. the views and sun sets are incradable.

Monte Del Oro, My favorite campground in the state. When i was in college my girlfriend (wife now) an I would meet their on the weekends, she went to Long Beach and I was in San Jose. lets say we didn"t leave the tent to often!

Your suggestion of Brannan Island look very interesting I'v always wanted to explore the delta area.
