04-06 Econoline Poor A/C Cooling/Compressor Failure

Ford has a Teechnical Service Bulletin (TSB #05-19-3), titled as the Subject line of this post. Has anyone had their vans in to have this TSB performed? I understand it's fairly common for F-series with snowplow blades to have it done so the airflow through their engine compartment increases. In my research, I've read where it can be quite loud since the fan is on much more frequently at lower speeds, but I'd like to hear some firsthand experience.

Failure of the A/C compressor may be due to high side system pressures resulting from insufficient air flow across the condenser at idle and low speeds. A revised cooling fan clutch is available to improve air flow and prevent compressor failure. P/N 4C3Z-8A616-SA.

I didn't think our vans had clutch fans. Mine is electric and is CPU controlled by multiple temp sensors.

My AC compressor failed and was replaced under warranty. They never said anything about a service bulitin and said it was just a fluke (I was worried that the PO never ran the air and I ran it all the time had ruined the compressor).

FWIW, I sent the TSB to Peter at SMBw, and he said he was not aware of it. He also said he would look into it.
