It has been a while since I wanted to install a cyclonic pre-filter on VivaLaVida. Past weeks, I finally built a snorkel and I'm pleased to share how I did it there.
Basically, I modified the OEM airbox by closing the original air intake behind the light and building a canal to the left wall of the engine bay where I cut an opening. I built an intermediate part from that opening to the foot of the windshield pillar, where the outside part of the snorkel goes through the fender.
All what I built is made of polyethylene, a very strong material easy to weld.
