Alternate Cooling - Portable Air Conditions
Instead of using the Starcool..
I use the 5000btu Danby Portable Air Condition to cool the Sporto. I selected the 5000btu model since it works well with the Honda 2000 Generator.
I have tried 2 other models and the Danby is the smallest of the 3. The other ones are the Sunpentown, and Toyotomi models. They work well also but considerably larger and heavier to carry around. I have this model: http://www.danby.com/product/SPAC5088/4
If your sportsmobile is properly insulated, (I make sure the front cab is isolated (front windshield with shade, side windows with thermal shade, and a thermal curtain from the back cab to decrease the sqft it needs to cool), you can cool it down as much as 18 degrees..
The Sporto is pitch black inside on a sunny day.
You can see the various models at: http://www.danby.com/products/air_conditioners

I'm in Vegas this week and hooked up to AC power, the Sporto was 70-85 degrees inside and 100-108 degrees outside..
