Pss we always say VERBALLY (helps our memory etc) TOUCHED HOOK ONE, and I repeat, TOUCHED HOOK TWO...etc...seems ridiculous but it works and relieves the paranoia of bending it again from pure stupidity and spacing out

Many thanks. I recently had one of my hooks catch (after I thought I had carefully made sure it was free). I will try this and if I am not strong enough to do it, seek help.
I've had them catch more than once. I have a manual top so mostly it just causes unexpected strain on my back, in my case. I've found that if I move the hook mechanism to the latched position, and set the hook on *top* of the latch plate, they won't catch. It's when they're left dangling and swinging around that it can happen.

Ace you've saved my marriage!!! My wife accidentally lifted the top not noticing the hook in the front right rehooked itself.....uuuuuuh. It took her four days to finally tell me what had happened. This photo of your remedy is wonderful. I had visions of me going back to Sportsmobile and having to buy a replacement for big bucks... Thanks again for a quick diy fix.
