Cleaning Canvas and Windows on Penthouse

What are you guys using to clean your canvas and your plastic windows on the penthouse? Whats the recommended method? Ours is looking somewhat dirty.

I did a search but didn't find much of anything.

First, you will need a ladder and good balance . I've just used a mild solution of warm water, soap and a light scrub brush. I haven't done any more than that yet.

Haven't used it yet on the SMB penthouse windows, but this is the stuff that I use on my Bronco's soft-top windows. It's called Plexus. Works very well as a cleaner, and does a great job hiding the small scratches on the plastic windows. I've heard other people use it for their motorcycle helmet visors too.

DISCLAIMER: I can't recall where I purchased it from. I just Googled the name and found this place.

Send a message via Yahoo to CJ
I think warm water and VERY mild soap is the ticket.

A can of pledge always does the trick on plastic windows. I used this to clean and "protect" the windows on my old wrangler.

I'm buying some Novus scratch remover for the Wrangler. I'll see how it does with larger scratches.

I heard it doesn't work as good as Plexus. I think the only way to get good results from it , is use it like a buffing compound almost like you would with a wheel. A buddy of mine used it with not so good results as compared to when he used others.

Washing Penthouse Top and Windows

adventureduo ,
SportsMobile manual recommends a mild soap and water solution , Woolite is always good for this type of recommendation as it is very low in surfactant's , I am using four ounces per five gallons of 95 degree tap water and a very soft automotive brush . For the windows
I am using Stoner , Invisible Glass for general cleaning and McGuires or Blue Magic Plastic & Plexiglass Cleaner for water spots and the rubbing out of light scratches this also works well for light marring and scratching on our Counter Tops , after cleaning of the windows I use 303 protectant applied and wiped dry with Micro Fiber cloth's .
This might seem to be time consuming but really isn't 20 to 30 minutes for the windows inside and out , our plastic windows can be cleaned very easily from the inside .

I gather that Plexus helps protect (I looked it up and read it compares more to wax for paint job) whereas I have deep scratches and think I need to do the #3, #2, #1 scratch removal to be able to see out of my windows again.

I do think for the SMB uppers Plexus might be better... I've never used either yet.

Window Polish/Cleaners

Jage ,
Without a long drawn out explanation on the science of Plasticizer's
used in Thermal Plastic's , I would error on the side of caution when it comes to applying polish to your windows and would suggest that you carefully experiment with various Acrylic Polish/Cleaners . UV
exposure can and will change the chemical composition of our Penthouse Window's . The emulsifier's in some automotive paint polish and wax's can yellow and cause premature aging of this material .
