Color match interior spraypaint for plastic (?)

Someone on here in a thread a while back put me on to a brand of spraypaint that was suited for interior plastic trim pieces and had a good match for the ford grey.

I'm hoping someone remembers or know that brand. I got some interior trims for the doors coming and they need to spruced up.

Thanks!

Mar-Hyde has always been one brand used by a lot of body shops---I'm sure there are others well known and highly respected too.

I'd suggest visiting a professional body shop supplier and talk with them about this. They can steer you in the right direction as they do it all the time anyway. This needs to be an outfit specializing in auto body repair and refinishing supplies---not an NAPA, AutoZone, Advance Auto etc.

Good advice, however if you go for the common stuff Krylon Fusion is specifically formulated for plastic. I have no idea of the gray match. I have found that most newer spray paints do pretty well on plastic, much better than the spray paint of old.

Make sure you look for a matte type finish. A gloss will definitely look spray painted.

I used the Krylon plastic paint to recolor a doghouse console from gray to blue 2-3 years ago. Still looks good and has remained much more immune to scratches that I anticipated. I took a fine grit sandpaper and roughed up all he surfaces. Then wiped down with a rag and alcohol. Like all painting, proper prep is key.

Automotivetouchup.com makes exact (close to) spray color matches for interior and exteriors. You just need to have the year, color code and interior color. I have used them on many cars. They suggest on the exterior to use their clear coat over base color when touching up which works awesome. Very high grade nossels on the spray cans for a smooth finish if you do multiple coats.

Thanks all. I will look into all of the suggestions.

Here are the trims. Beat up by the UV, dirty and cracked here and there. But I’ll get em going and reinforced.

Here is another suggestion.

These trims were painted about four years ago.
