I adapted a similar mirror to the passenger side mirror on my PU. It really helps with a high vehicle (van) next to a little car. Stopped me from changing lanes into a Ferrari. I probably didn't have enough insurance for that.

We put the small 1"x2" stick on ones on each of our exterior mirrors. They really do help.

I have always used the stick-on 2 or 3" spots, since my days as a commercial truck driver on box rigs. I swear by them.

I like the gadget you posted. Where would you mount that on a van?

I think it's one of those mirrors that goes on the back, driver's side corner of the vehicle so you can see if anyone is directly behind the vehicle, or if you've forgotten to latch your rear bumper swingaways.
