Dog Gate Project

On the way back home from the smoky Sierras last weekend, I did a quick (SMB relative term) stop on the highway for a gravel pullout. After the dust settled I tried to get on my way but... no forward gears and no reverse gear. It took less than 30 seconds of grumbling before I realized that my 80 pound Australian Shepherd (Ozzie) had bumped up against the transfer case shifters and put me in neutral. I needed a solution for that, and the fact that Ozzie and Mojo constantly weasel their way to the front seats to get a better view of the road.

Solution: The dog gate.

I took a 4’ long x 16â€

Very nice solution Charlie. We have somehow trained our Aussie to not step on the carpeted part of the van, although he really wants to. The Airedale is a different story. Luckily he is usually so tired he just wants to sleep instead.
