Can confirm. Shocks won't fail first when jumping the van. I had a pretty hard hit on the dirt road between Agness and Powers. Forest Service put in a giant new water bar across the road, which I hit at about 50 MPH in the dark. With hitch rack and trailer, both loaded. It bent my 20,000# rated Reunel hitch bumper at the brackets. The landing was hard enough the front bumper dug in and showered the windshield with gravel.
Ha ha, leave it to you to be able to confirm with actual life experience. Thanks for clarifying!
Easiest way to describe Fox shocks is Firm but soft. Firm when you want them to be like around a corner or on a small bump. Then soft when you hit something big and feel the need to brace for impact.
My EB spring were flat in the Back and I only had an inch of compression before bottoming out..so I threw an f350 pack with the main having the eyes cut off..4in of lift..(but if she wasn't built out..an EB and abused before I got her..they would have been just the right length..$450 shipped next day from Catzauto.
They ride amazing..what a sweet upgrade...
(Front lift coils arrived waiting on shock 2 in spacer and camber bushing to lift the front..then maybe take a leaf out of the back to drop it down an inch.. Kinda tall for a 31in tire 5 leaf from 4 and $50 for the set)
