I think the white plastic piece you are seeing is the body damage that was caused by the tire shop. This actually pushed the greywater tank over a bit and am wondering if that was enough to push the tank closer to the muffler thus the melting incident. I drive a dodge and maybe dodges install the mufflers further back from the end of the exhaust pipe than other manufactures. The muffler is installed probably just a little over the halfway point of my van.

There is a metal tank strap that you can see in the picture that hold up the tank. It is made out of metal. I ordered a new tank, but will definitely be installing a heat shield between the muffler and the tank.

I believe that would be Ronco

https://ronco-plastics.com/
I’ve ordered a few tanks from them, pretty quick ship and usually less $ than listed prices on their site. Find the tank you need on their site and provide a diagram of orientation and fittings needed.
