Oh I have one! Haven’t had a chance to install yet, but it’s going on the starboard side for my boys to spy out of when they’re up in their bunk.

You know what, I never thought to ask for the vessel permit when I picked up the water logged donor...
I noticed you were selling some nice Fiberine tops, if I could have scored one locally in the time frame I was working in I would have. Kinda happy I didn’t though because being 6’6” tall the keel of the boat allows me to stand up! Lol. Just in front of the bunk (with my shoes off) I can stand up straight.

Do it!
I’m guessing a Jon boat would get you maybe 16” to 18” of added added head room. They are common in 12’ to 16’ lengths, and have a squareish bow that would work well. You’d need to figure out if the width would work for your needs. Aluminum boats tend to hold their value a bit better than old fibreglass units but if you’ve got one. One other thought I have is the seats are typically riveted in so you’d either have to cut them out leaving the factory blind rivets intact or drill out and then fill the holes...

Cheers,
Simon
