There are a number of light bars out there that fold down (forward) when not in use. Soltec, whatever, I think makes some. You'll have to do some fabbing, but shouldn't be too hard. Check out www.race-dezert.com for some ideas. Stay out of the classifieds section, however. That's my source for parts and "...don't need anyone given the place atmosphere."

We ended up going a different route for our over-cab lights...

We decided to use Yakima bar and gutter mounts so that we could remove it when we did not need it.

The lights were mounted to the bar with two Yakima snap-arounds each and a stainless plate between the two. The remote control spotlight is mounted using its aluminum bar clamp and plate with a stainless plate to mangentically mount to.

The lights chosen were two KC 861s (longe range HID) and two PIAA 550 Dual Beams (long range & fog) and the remote control spotlight in the middle.

They all have quick disconnects so the the wires can be hidden away when the bar is not in use..

This setup also gives us the ability to magnetically mount just the remote spot without the rest and the bar.

I've always liked your opposite corner Go Light installation...

gregmckay,
I really like your removable setup. I wanted to have lights up top but my garage height does not allow it. The removable bar is a great idea. And I have a couple of extra Thule bars to boot.

Can you please post some more close up photos from different views? It would be most appreciated.

You could do a folding light bar- a tube across with vertical and horizontal holes, and a pin in each side. With a slightly smaller tube running through it and attached to the rails (yakima) and just horizonatal holes, you could pull the pin rotate 90° and maybe squeeze into your garage.

I promise to post more photos... when we take ownership..... hopegully in the next two weeks!

We are happy with the ability to completely remove the bar, but to be able to carry the remote control spot and throw it up if we want/need it.

Jage,
that is a good idea. Can't use my square profile Thule bars but could pick up some Yakima ones.

Look forward to seeing yours Greg.

It would work with square as the support bar, just make sure the light bar is round.
