Marine Water heter

I have been looking into using a https://www.kuumaproducts.com/6-gallon heater in the new build. It has a built in heat exchanger and 120v 1500w element.
Anyone used such a heater in a build/thoughts on using one.
Price on a 6 gallon one is $250

Yes

it is designed to use coolant to heat the water through a heat exchanger or via 110v.
I don't see why you could not also add a 500w 12v element like Scotty has done and you would be covered by most of the bases

I've been putting these in boats for years. They come with two different casings, one galvanized, the other stainless. Galvy is cheaper. In the van build I took it out of the case, put the tank in a cabinet and stuffed it w insulation. Saved a lot of space.

I should mention that my van was a passinger EB so I just used the rear heater lines to plumb the heat exchanger.

Not me, did you mean Scott (Boywonder)? I'm I'm pretty sure he did that.

I think you will want to add a temp. mixing valve because the engine heat will make the water very hot. Set it to a nice temp so you don't have to waist a lot of water getting the temp set right.
