Keep up the good work! I am thoroughly enjoying watching this build. Also, I'm just getting ready to do the Espar in my van, probably this weekend..I'd love to see a few more pictures of your install!

My big fat interior (re)build

Well, things are going a bit slower than I’d hoped, you’d think that I’d have learned that by now. Sad to say we’re not going to make the journey down to Baja as planned, there’s just too much left to do and I’ve been running myself ragged, bummer....
I’ll have to take a few more pics of the Espar plumbing, being my first install of one, it took me most of Friday just to get the muffler and exhaust line run and to figure out where to locate the pump.
It’s the small stuff.....I was going to bed liner the rocker panels and had pulled the fender flares and had run some tape lines, but we never got around to it, maybe some day, but for now things will be getting put back together. The N-Fab bars came off as well and got cleaned up and a fresh coat of rattle can bedliner

I also cut and painted some aluminum diamond plate covers for the holes that were left where the suburban heater and the coax cable hookup used to be. I used plain steel for the propane door plate as that’ll blend in better when it eventually gets bedlined when I do the rocker panels. I used a sealant to plug the holes behind the small plates so I won’t have water seeping in, that would be bad!

Here’s the new smart plug shore power outlet too.

I also went ahead and painted and blocked off the gray water vent, as that’s no longer going to be used either.

It's looking great!
A couple of questions:

Are you happy with the Bedrug subfloor under the plywood? No compression when screwing it down to the van floor?

Where did you source your interior fabric from?

My big fat interior (re)build

Still in the building phase, I’ve driven it a bit but no real world testing of how the BedRug VanTred will hold up over time, but so far I’m pretty stoked on it-the description of it on their website basically hit all the right points-waterproof so doesn’t hold moisture, adds heat and noise insulation, and it’s pre cut and contoured making it void free and fitment a non issue. It did have some compression when I screwed the ply down, but I regulated the amount of compression to be as even as I could without compressing it completely. It’s pretty rigid and doesn’t flex at all underfoot.
The wall fabric is one that Matt at AVC uses on all his builds, it’s an automotive upholstery sourced from a local distributor, not sure of the details.

Project continues to impress. Already hold your ability & resolve in high regard, and the whole process seems to be moving at high speed - do you have some talent helping you? If your reply is "no", I'm tempted to ask if you own a red cape?

My big fat interior (re)build

Thank you, it’s been a LOT of work to get to this point, Matt handled sorting, running and hooking up all the new electrical (not my forte) and programming and cutting on the CNC. I’ve definitely had a helping hand or 2 along the way, but have done the bulk of the work up to this point. Again, all of this would not have been possible without guidance from Matt and his co. Adventure Vehicle Concepts (another shout out), a small operation with just him and one other that migrated over from CCV putting out some really nice builds, one at a time. He’s finishing up a 4X4 Transit this week, I’ll take some pics and post it here.
