Thanks for all the props and praises, I think when this is all done, as sad as it’ll be for all of you, not sure I’ll be ready to jump into another project right away, I need a break for sure!
Yes, we’ll be up in Alaska next summer....I think I might be done with this by then. I’ll be sure to post our travel plans to meet up with others.
Some more progress to keep you all hooked
The water filter getting brackets, I opened up the holes on the brackets for the brass fittings to fit through and secure it

All the water in the van will be run through this, so the sink and the rear spigot for bottle fill and shower will be filtered, I’ve upgraded the replaceable filter element that came with it to a higher micron one.

Man, I wish I could bring my van up to you to get the royal treatment. It’s tough to trust many of the professional outfits; even if they do a decent job as a whole, there are still nits and nats that can drive someone up a wall. What’s that saying, if you want it done right....? Looks like you’re doing it all right.

Can you post some details on the water filter that you're using? Did SMB install a filter on yours from the factory? Are you using the original SMB installed fill line for your water tank?

Mine came without a filter, and I'm trying to decide if I should add one as I'm rebuilding the interior.

FWIW, this is the filter that SMB-W put in my van recently. (Mounted under sink).

That one will work too^^^
No, SMB had not installed a filter in the original build, I am reusing the original outside city water fill that they installed, with all new interior pex lines. I picked up a Culligan whole house filter and upgraded the filter element
Culligan Filter HF-150A Whole House Standard Duty 3/4" Inlet/Outlet Filtration System, Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DH4LN..._qdieCbRGKH1YT
I have yet to pressure test, we’ll see, there’s reports of it being prone to leaks.
And here’s the filter I got

My big fat interior (re)build

As I had posted up early on, I had planned on doing a spray on bed liner on the lower side panels and doors and that it didn’t happen, I decided to scale it back a bit and just hit the small area of the rocker panel that was beat up the most with a rattle can bed liner.
Taped and scuffed with a red 3M pad

Here’s a shot of the side that needed the patches for the coax, propane and suburban heater. I ended up making a new one for where the propane door was with the same aluminum tread painted with the rattle can bed liner. I also painted up and inserted a blank to plug the old grey water vent that is no longer used.

Think this solution of making cover plates came out pretty good, a bit industrial, it certainly saved a bunch of money and time on getting body work and matching paint done. A metal worker neighbor up at the shop was gracious enough to use his squaring shear to cut these to size for me, I sanded up the corners to avoid leaving sharp edges on the aluminum.

Spent the day hunched over a table wrapping the two smaller bed panels and a few other panels, oh my aching back!
I’m keeping the trunk liner gray carpet on the upper bed side and using the new fabric for the underside, I took off the 2 reinforcement pieces of wood that CCV used to use on their bed panels that we always whacked our head on, and in their place installed 1/8” aluminum C channel to cap each side. Much cleaner look and we won’t whack our heads!

A few more things tidied up, put in some pipe clamps to secure the heater hose in the closet

And the water lines are now run and water tank is blocked in place. The one line with the split and ball valve shut off on it had to be used for fill and drain, we installed an in line one way on the fill that is not visible in the photo, hopefully should work.
