re:rattle in penthouse

I have the banging spring problem. Only noticable on washboard but its REALLY annoying. SMB's fix was to send me some "pads" to put under the springs in the channels. They were flimsy pieces of padded velour. I suspect they will wear thru shortly. A better fix would be some dense foam sewn in to some 1000 cordura. Guess ill have to make my own.

Sure nuff, you guys were right. My noise was the springs. Did a temp fix today with some left over rubber drawer liner to make sure the noise would go away. Pure silence now. Again, only a temp fix. I'm going to stop by a wetsuit shop and get some long 2/3 covered neoprene and glue it into the channels for a better fix.
