Need Picture of your overhead shelf please!!

Hello All,
I'm trying to make an overhead shelf that SMB makes for my 2006, I called (talked to Jonathan) to find out they didn't have one for my van, so I'm going to make it myself. But I'm looking for some detailed photo's of others to go off of & If any of you have any advice, tips, things you like, things you'd change, the way you would make it & what you'd make it out of, plans (ha ha) please feel free.
Thanks for the help,

Re: Need Picture of your overhead shelf please!!

There's one or two home built overhead shelf units detailed on this forum.

Now's the time to consdier if you're going to want a CB or HAM radio, and if you would want it in that location. That would probably be the biggest thing I'd want up there, and would drive the size of the shelving unit. If you go with a HAM radion though, you need to account for the heat dissapation requirements (adding a fan?) otherwise the radio will have a heat related failure.

I can take some pics of my SMBw built and installed '06 shelf for some ideas if needed.

Thanks and looking forward to the pic's. Good Idea on the radio, I've never been much for CB's & no nothing about a Ham set up, so maybe a CB, any thoughts?
