Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Ray,
I love your set up. In regards to draining the shower pan to the t section and on to the grey water tank is it simply gravity that makes this happen?
Thanks, Louie.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Do you remember how much the SMB shower curtain and pan cost? Never saw one before but it looks similar to the DYI job I made. I us clamps to hold mine up vs the roof straps SMB uses. Roof straps would take up a little less storage space.

Porta-Shower Mod.
Louie, The drain is simply just gravity. It worked very well when we used it.
LenS, The pan is your regular plastic container that you can buy anywhere. The custom shower curtain is made by SMB which holds it in place by regular button snaps.

Len,
I believe the Porta Shower is listed as a $300, that includes the curtain , pan, and a shower wand that connects to the sink.

They raised their price a bit on the porta shower. It kills me to have to pay 300 bucks for a plastic tote, a shower curtain, and a faucet. I called sportsmobile about just selling me the showercurtain as that's all I really need and they said no deal.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
If you have the room why wouldn't one of those pans you put a washer machine in work. They have spots to cut in drain holes and what not. Maybe add a 12 bildge pump?

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
So if you were boondocked somewhere and had a tree or something above you to hook the shower curtain to then there would be no reason that you wouldn't be able to use this as an outside shower as well? I guess you would have to make sure the hose is long enough to stretch outside...how long is the hose?

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
I ordered the shower head Ray mentioned, but I cannot figure out how to connect it to the sink - it does not fit any of the threads I see in the existing sink plumbing. In fact, I can't find any adapters that fit our current sink faucet at the hardware store either (seems to be an unusual thread). How do you connect it?
Thanks,
-JR

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Mine does but it's a 2006. Maybe you can find the correct threaded adaptor for that somewhere.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Unless I am misunderstanding something, the outlet end of the existing hose (from my 2006) has a 19/32" -27 tpi male end on it. That is very unusual, and I had to go to a contractor supply hardware center to find a thread tester to get that number. So I think I need an adapter that is: female 19/32 -27 to female 1/2" pipe thread (the showerhead is 1/2" male). Even google can't find this! Any ideas?
Thanks,
-JR
