Removable Gaucho Ideas? E-Track ideas?

Hey all-

Slowly converting my E350 RB cargo van to an "SMB-like" camp-mobile. I purchased a fold-out Gaucho and a captain's chair from another SMB forum member in the spring. I installed them fine after measuring, drilling. etc. It's a real pain to loosen and tighten the bolts holding the gaucho down, especially since it's over the fuel tank on the driver's side.

I'm getting ready to insulate the floor and walls, and would like to install some E-track in order to load my dirt bike in the van when I want to travel light and not pull a trailer. Maxacceleration did a great build a few years back (http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...rior-5601.html) and is my inspiration for my own rig. Like I said above, I'm planning to install some E-Track on the floor, which means removing the gaucho, which, as things sit today, is a real pain.

I'm looking for ideas to install the gaucho on to the E-Track in order to make removal relatively easy. Looking for any ideas/fittings/suggestions, etc to help me accomplish this.

I've attached a few photos of Maxacceleration's build for reference. While his build did not include a Gaucho, I think you all get the idea.

I've been racking my brain for a few weeks (not constant, of course) an looking for help from my very smart friends and associates with vast knowledge and great experience ;-)

Any help?

Have you looked at airline tracks instead? Smaller footprint, very secure and have many components options. Ill see if I can find pictures so you know what I'm talking about.

For reference, these are about 1" wide and various length. They also have flush mount style.




And some of the attachments, those studs one could work for you? They have more style...

Thanks David - I'll have a look. I was looking at e-Tracks since that's what i have in my cargo trailer, but these are a possibility. They're called Airline Tracks? Same as L-tracks and/or A-tracks? Looks like they have plenty of fittings.

The e-tracks are much larger and heavier although not necessarily more heavy duty... I had both and the airline ones are much nicer.

Check out our wing nut seat anchors. I've never removed the seat, but it can be done totally from above.
