I have the same 2088-403-144 as Geofff had and it just died.
What is the replacement today

I replaced my 18-year-old Shurflo this summer with the one from the SMB store that Joe links to. Easy R/R job. New pump is a bit quieter, and has a bit less flow, too (but, that's not really a bad thing with a small water tank).

My old pump was still going strong, which is pretty impressive. I gave it to a friend for his pop-up trailer. I was just doing some general upgrading (added a shower hose) and figured I might as well do the pump at the same time.
