****Retractable Step Teaser****

I know you've all been waiting for this day, so it's my great pleasure to introduce The Retractable Step for full sized Ford vans:

Please PM me for ordering information.

I'm sure everyone who sent in a deposit will be quite excited by this video sneak-peak.

Re: ****Retractable Step Teaser****

Whoops, that was an early concept.

Here are a couple pictures I took today (I did a quick job removing the foreground so the step would show). They look really cool, and make the rig look even higher. We are currently waiting for some faster actuators from Canada to arrive. Hopefully I'll have both mounted by the 2nd when I leave for the Lost Coast area.

Re: ****Retractable Step Teaser****

Truly it is written: A rotund genius shall show us the way!

Some questions, though. (1) How is the almost invisible guidance tether attached to the white polymer landing platform? (2) For the 2nd launch attempt. some alternate guidance system was somehow activated resulting in a perfect 4-point touch-down of the shock-absorbing landing struts. Is this the Wolowitz Effect used on the Mars Rover? (3) Can it be painted to match one's SMB? (4) Is it better to have one line-exed or rhinoed? (5) Can I make one myself out of milk jugs and a glue gun, or should I wait for SMB to offer one for $40 or $120 in matching color?
