Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

I just installed my DOOR TALON. It was easy. It works great. I love it. No more bungie that every one laughs at on such an expensive rig.

Thanks John.

Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

He has fixed it so one unit will fit any van.

He brought one to the Toy for tot run and installed it.

the second loop is the same lenght as the first one's and is used to lock it in place on the door. It would be real hard to get a nut on it way down in the bottom of the door.

Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

I finally installed my door talon today in a fit of van projects. It's been sitting on my workbench for almost a year now.

The nuts were surprisingly tight. I managed to break the little screw for the catch. But no worries, the talon seems to stay in place just fine without the catch when not in use, especially if I bend it slightly such that the rubber-dipped end touches the door.

Way better than a bungie!

Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

I'll add my vote of "awesome add-on" for the Door Talon! No more bungie cord!!! Easy to install, easy to use, and the instructions were very easy to understand and follow. I got it done in 20 minutes. My only complaint...I should've got one sooner!!

Thanks John!!!

Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

I just got my "DoorTalon" this week and installed it right away.

First I want to say it is very well made. For some reason I thought (and expected it to be for the price plastic) its not its metal. John obviously takes great pride in making these things, stainless and other high quality hardware, great easy to understand instructions, the Talon is powder coated and then dipped in vinyl so it doesn't hurt your vans door or fender. And on top of all that it works perfect. Suzann also thinks its great and very easy to use. She has already used it a few times this week since I installed it. For some reason that door likes to sneak up on her but not anymore with the amazing "DoorTalon"

So if you have a late model 1992 or newer Ford van with cargo- 60/40 type doors you should get one. I am not sure how we ever lived without one.

Thanks again John...

Jamie and Suzann...

Re: The Door Talon Rocks!

I'd like to give special THANKS to John who makes the Door Talon.

He worked with me to resolve my problems after SMB Fresno botched the installation by installing the short version of the hook where the long one was required.

Great product, highly recommended!
