Torque range

Regarding the huge range (170-230Nm) of torque specified :


This is specified in the Workshop manual in chapter "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Wheel and Tire" AND it states "Tighten the lug nuts to specification."



For me that means the workshop manuel is more general in terms of torgue and forwards you to the dedicated vehicle specification.
Which for my E350 2014 specifies :

"conical lug nut : 150lbs / 200Nm" independant on alloy or steel.
