Water heater vent screen

I noticed the screen in the water heater door is just crip fit, at 3 dimple points. this can easily dislodge and could be lost on the road. I solved this by drilling 2 ,1/8 in. holes and rivets .
this securely hold the screen in place The "spring" finger type twist lock door attachment also is a "one" point fastening. I tightened it by using a small rubber o-ring, thus eliminating the paint scraping also.
I may further use 2 ss aircraft screws to fasten the door in place, for rough use. I find I will only need to access the interior when winterizing.
