Back in the day (the 1970's) you could still do it with an innocent grin.

Well, I'm having a little trouble getting this trip scheduled. I mentioned to my boss I'd like to get away next week, and instead he chartered a float plane to take us to the job site on Wed. Meanwhile, I've got two boats undergoing repairs and needing deliverys prior to the equipment barge arriving mid July. Still, he has no idea how attached to my van I am, and there is no way in hell I'm going to live without it. I may end up delaying the entire project a few days, but I will be getting it.

Just got back from a 10-day trip from Philly up to Nova Scotia via Acadia National Park in Maine. 2,600 miles (yikes!), four nights free camping and six nights in campgrounds, for an average overnight cost of $16.80 for the 10 nights. A bit of a rushed tour, but we had fun and saw lots of stuff that has been on our wishlist. If I get some time I'll post a report and some photos.

Took my rig to a local auto repair shop to get the AC rolling issue fixed. Just in time to combat this SoCal heat.

It's my 1947 Dodge Power Wagon hiding in the garage. Hope to have it on the road soon.

Project "no chrome" continues. Blacked out the grill last weekend while camping. Got the rear bumper and hitch receiver done today...all spray-on bedliner again to match the hoop steps and flares.

Front bumper chrome & plastic are sanded and ready for primer. Hoping to spray that tomorrow.
